Happy Birthday, cousin Josiah

Happy 225th Birthday to my fourth cousin, six times removed, Josiah Harlan (1799-1871), a Pennsylvania Quaker and early American visitor to Afghanistan, who is thought to have perhaps inspired Rudyard Kipling's short story, "The Man Who Would be King" (1888).

Ben Macintyre wrote a biography of Josiah entitled The man who would be king:  the first American in Afghanistan (New York: Farrar Straus Giroux, c2004).
